Florida Facts

florida bigfoot
  • According to the BFRO (Bigfoot Research Organization), Florida is ranked #3 in the United States for having the most reported Bigfoot sightings!

  • The terrain in Florida is unique and can be very challenging when you go out there looking for evidence. We have lots of deep swamps, wetlands, forests, flatwoods, saw palmetto palms and flooded sawgrass marsh areas which means what you need to look for and what you will find in each investigation area will be different.

  • There are 3 National Forests and 38 State Forests in Florida.

  • Forests cover about half of Florida’s land area. Statewide there are more than 17 million acres of forests which means there are plenty of places for Bigfoots and Skunk Apes to hide and thrive in Florida with a year round supply of food available to them.

  • Florida wildlife consists of many types of animals such as deer, wild hogs, Florida panthers, black bears, alligators, crocodiles, coyotes, snakes, bobcats, raccoons, armadillos, possums, marsh rabbits, gopher tortoises, owls, birds and foxes.
